As a customer, how do I get updates and fixes for eSOMS?

eSOMS is a SaaS solution (software as a service) which means customers access the software via login on Eyede’s website, with their allocated password. All new releases and latest updates are uploaded automatically to the website and customers have access to these changes as soon as they login.

What if I forget my password?

Simply contact Eyede and a new password will be automatically sent to you via email. You can then log yourself in and change your password, via the account administration function.

Does the eSOMS solution work with multiple browser types?

A web browser is an application that delivers and interprets internet generated content to the client.

The eSOMS solution has been developed around multiple browser types, and compatibility has been tested. As new browsers become available, Eyede will test those browsers also for compatibility, and make adjustments necessary to evolve software with future browser technology. The only exception is eSOMSv4, which was developed to operate on Firefox only.

How do I manage the upload of photos to eSOMS?

Photos can be up-loaded to a record in .jpeg format. This format has a smaller file size than many other image types making it faster to transfer images, and it is an image standard for the online environment.

What is the purpose of the photo cropping tool?

The photo cropping tool allows you to resize your uploaded images to the specific aspect ratio for your identification card design. This provides customers with the ability to upload images directly form a digital camera.

What is a CSV file?

CSV is an abbreviation for “Comma-separated values”. These files are simple text files that list values in a specific order with each value column indicated by a special character that is registered as a separator. A CSV file can be used to add multiple records to eSOMS in bulk.

Describe the process for acknowledging customers orders?

Once a client has placed an order, an email notification will be sent to you as confirmation, along with a unique order reference number. The email notification lists all the records that have been ordered and provides a checklist for orders when they are delivered.

What is the turnaround time for a card order?

Cards will be delivered within 3-5 working days of the customer receiving their order confirmation, which confirms that data has been received and a unique order reference number has been issued.

How secure will my company’s data be?

Only authenticated users from your company will have access to your database. Multiple levels of internet security protocols prevent your database from being compromised. Real-time monitoring of the entire system ensures data integrity along with an extensive disaster recovery system.
